Hi, my name is Tom and I’ve recently been in several conversations with Ben Curran, owner of CarBen Fibre Creations . Some of you might know his work from before. Some of you might hear about this guy for the first time now. For those of you that haven’t seen his work before feel free to check out his work at http://www.carbenfibrecreations.co.uk/ and/or search for CarBen Fibre Creations on facebook.
As you can see on his website he supplies all sorts of carbon interior overlays for RHD MR2 MKII’s, but very few items for LHD MR2 MKII. I’ve been waiting for Ben to change all of this and after some conversations we’ve come to the conclusion that if there’s enough interest for LHD MR2 MKII parts, Ben will produce them for us!
All parts will be produced in 2×2 twill carbon fiber. Absolutely no vinyl or “carbon look”-plastics.
[U][B]Please notice that these are overlays or covers if you will. These parts go over your existing parts and are purely for looks.[/B] [/U]
[U][B]Please note that stating your interest in one or several of these carbon fiber items is not a binding purchase, it’s just stating your interest in one. Ben doesn’t belive in binding purchases of products that not yet exist. Once this interest list is completed we’ll start new group buy threads for the purcases of these items.[/B] [/U]

[B]In addition to these new parts that will be produced if there’s enough interest, Ben already produces the following parts that should fit our LHD MR2 MKII’s:[/B]
Ash tray overlay in carbon – Ash tray lid only.
Dial surround LHD for manual in carbon – Gauge cluster dial surround.
Din gauge holder & single stereo surround in carbon – Holds 3x52mm gauges & a single din stereo.
Double din surround in carbon – Double din surround panel to fit round your double din stereo.
Gear gaiter surround in carbon – Panel surrounding your gear shift lever.
Heater controll unit surround in carbon – Panel covering your heat controll unit.[B]I’ve also suggested these product ideas for Ben to complete our carbon interior trim. These products will also be produced if there is enough interest for them.[/B]

Passenger side heater air vent surround – The plastic surround around the passenger side heater air vent.
Upper Gauge cluster trim – The thin plastic strip between the gauge cluster and dashboard.
Glove box lever – The lever/handle you pull to open your glovebox

Door handle inserts – The plastic behind your door handle lever.
Door lever – The lever you pull to open your door from the inside of the car.
Door cup – The cup in your door that you pull to close your door.
Door sills overlay (with the MR2 logo like the stainless steel OEM sills)
Window control trim – The panel that surrounds your window controlls on your door panels

Courtesy Roof Light Cover – The light in your roof behind your rear-view mirror.

Timing belt cover overlay for the different Rev’s – The cover that protects your timing belt.These products will be produced if 5 or more people are interested in them, it’s as simple as that. Prices of these are not set on these parts. To get a “guesstimated” price see how big the items are compared to items Ben already produces. Please specify if your car is LHD or RHD for these ones as some parts will fit either and some of them are LHD or RHD specific. These parts will be produced in both LHD and RHD versions
